First, in fashion merchandising. Now in interior design. The products changed. The thinking didn't.

Before launching KE Design Studio, I spent nearly two decades in fashion merchandising, learning how people shop, what catches their eye, and why some things make it into the cart while others never stood a chance. More importantly, I learned how to edit. What belongs. What doesn't. When something is almost right, but not quite.

After graduating from the illustrious Spelman College, I earned my Master's in Interior Design from Pratt Institute. Today, I bring both worlds to the table: the eye of a merchant, the training of a designer, and a healthy respect for the difference the right rug can make.

Whether I'm editing an assortment or designing a home, the goal is pretty much the same. Pay attention. Know what to add and, maybe more importantly, what to subtract.
